Tonight was pretty rad. Last night was rad. Life's pretty rad.

Last Night:
Caught Matt Besser's one man show at UCB LA, which was a hilarious exploration of religion. The show's had over fifteen names, he just picks a new one each time, but my favorite is, "Are You There, God? It's Me, Matt Besser."

Then Ashley, Andy and I went down to Barnes and Noble to catch the Harry Potter book premiere. The line was incredibly long and we were told there'd be no way we were gettting in that night by the manager, so we went down to Ralphs grocery store. Copies were on sale for 17.99, and there were just boxes and boxes of them. No lines, no hassle - bought some pineapple rum and pineapple juice, and got liquor stoned.

This Night:
Caught ASSSCAT at UCB: Paul F. Tompkins was doing the monologues, and Roberts, Besser, Walsh, Andy Daly and Sean Conroy were ripping it up. Totally hilarious.

Ran into Kerry Shaw at the show from the now defunct Maki Maki, and her roommate - we all got drinks at the bar next door and talked about "The Death Of Courtship", which I argued women killed. It's Dave Chappelle's philosophy, but I feel I did a pretty good job defending it.

Also ran into my friend Will Becton, who's ex UCB from NY. We went to a party at the bass player from Soul Coughing's house, and I ate some pretty amazing angel food cake hanging out on the roof.

Right Now:
I watched an episode of Paranoia Agent on Adult Swim, which was pretty fucking cool. God damn those wily Japanese. First they sneak attack us at Pearl Harbor, now they're creating cartoons ten times better than our own.

I also checked out the ol' Willem Dafoe Failure Watch, which thankfully is now being updated regularly. I'll also add: hilariously regularly.

5:19 AM Update: watching Broadcast News for the first time. This movie's astonishingly amazing. I think it's time for me to finally get into Albert Brooks.
